Welcome to Spiked Press v.4.0.  Now what is Spiked Press?

Simply put, Spiked Press is my website/blog; a place to collect all my writing material in one place.  It’s one part editorial mixed with one part journal with a twist of ranting and raving.  It started out with Ichiban No Takaramono, however not all of my thoughts match the criteria I set for that blog.  I know, I set that criteria and I should be able to change it.  Nevertheless, I did not settle for a change, but rather an expansion.  Ichiban no Takaramono is still there, but joining it are some other sections, each catering to a different audience.  Spiked Press will serve as a banner that all my writing can stand under, you will not need to filter through a pile of posts in order to read something you are interested in.  Just go to a section you find interesting and peruse, maybe you will find something you like.

So far the sections will be:

Ichiban no Takaramono – Which will continue to be a treasure trove of memoirs and personal recollections of my life.  (Opened and ready for reading)

H0m3 3c0n0m1c5 – For those who do not understand 1337speech, I shall translate for you.  Home economics, will be a section about home economics but with a geek twist, hence the geeky 1337speech title.  I will use this section to share things about food and general home maintenance.  (Will open in the near future)

High Speed Dubbing – This title is a throwback to the days of mixtapes.  If you do not understand what the title is referring too, than you are too young to remember the days of mixtapes, but you are not too young to read anything contained within this section.  (Will debut by the end of the week)

The Blue Marble Composition Book – This will be a section about writing: experimental writing, writing exercises, tips for other writers, comments about writing, etc.  (First article posted today)

Comments from the Chestnut Gallery – This will be my soap box where I will comment on various subjects from a fan’s point of view.  This will most likely be an area of ranting and raving about the latest news and gossip.  (Another section debuting with a post today)

And finally…

bacani ink – This is where I will park my fiction and flights of fancy.  (Will open sometime soon)

These sections are not fully set in stone.  I retain the right to remove any segment that I want to eliminate.  I might also add other sections in the future.  It all depends on my writing and where the keyboard leads me.

So get ready to spike the presses!
